LORD OF WAR – Must See Movie

All most all of the movies I have reviewed before were not so good, so decided to put the movies I liked most as 'Must See Movie'. Though this one I saw a month ago, It used to remain in my mind always.. I came to know Nicolas Cage from his hit FACE/OFF and lil bit more from his 'Con Air'. But this movie made him my favorite hero..Okay, enough intro, let's get into the stuff..

LORD of WAR is released on 2005 starring Nicolas Cage, directed by Andrew Niccol. Well, a short intro on the director, he is the maker of 'The Truman Show', 'The Terminal' etc.. The hero plays the antihero role as an arms dealer, some where I heard that the character is taken from real Russian arms dealer. So whats the title is for? The answer is given in the starting of the film: "There are over 550 million firearms in worldwide circulation. That's one firearm for every twelve people on the planet. The only question is: How do we arm the other eleven?" Every little bit of the film is perfect and enjoyable. The casting is superb; Cage plays his role perfectly, the dictator Baptise, the interpol agent everyone played perfectly. I am not that knowledgeable to write a review on the whole film. Each and every portion is taken from the real world history. You should watch this 122 minutes movie for 244 minutes to understand it.

I can compare this movie with two other movies- Blow and Pudhupettai(Tamil). Blow by Johnny Depp is the exact same thing done but this one is somewhat non-commercial like or documentary like movie. Instead of Arms dealer this is about the Cocaine smuggler. Pudhupettai is also the same sort of antirole Gangster flick. So this movie is a must see movie. Watch this in the good AxxO Dvd rip given. Enjoy!! Will be back with another good movie..

Explore Google Earth 4, to explore..

The latest version of Google Earth has quite a few very interesting features such as the ability for 3D models to have textures and a new user interface. Also, it is now possible to see animations on Google Earth to show geographic changes during different seasons and stuff.
You can take some time to wonder on this.. Here's an excerpt from google page:

Weekend music - jan 2nd week

So what about this weekend.. Apart from taking the dosage of 'one movie per day', I thought of taking some music this weekend. Helpfully the much awaited tamil version of Guru is gonna be online this weekend.

Apart from that I would like to hear some sort of different, yeh..so got Norah Jones.. I have heard this name several times, but didn't tried her songs. Heard of her connection with india being the daughter of ravi Shankar, the famous Sitar maestro.

U2 Recent Singles

U2, the 2006 best album of the year winner released a single in Jan 1 - Window in the skies, As our Rehman did 'Prey for me brother' in new year eve. This single has two songs - "Tower of Song" and “Windows in the skies”. Both are good. You have to try it out..

Happy Feet - didn't make me happy :(

I saw the iMBT screener of Happy Feet yesterday, this one is has a very good quality and sound. But I can say this box office hit which pushed the Casino Royale out, didn't do what I expected. For your info, this movie is the second largest box office hit after 'Pirates of Caribbean 2' and this is from the director of 'Babe, the Pig in the City'. These things made me go crazy to watch this movie.
But in my view this film is a total crap. In the cold land of Antarctica, the Penguins express their true love with a special heart song of their own that expresses their very being. However, the hero, Mumble cannot sing, but instead has an extraordinary talent to tap dance with almost magical energy and expression. Nevertheless, the deeply conformist leadership of the colony fearfully blames the young penguin's unorthodox ways for the lean fishing that threatens them all. Defiant in the face of unjust rejection, Mumble and his true friends set out to find the true cause of the famine. And here comes the total crap things, the hero goes behind the human beings and was put into the zoo, and it learnt that people loves its toe tapping. Then it comes back to its own home place and all the penguins uses the toe tapping for making the man kind to recognize the over fishing, bla bla bla.. So our hero save their life..total crap! I totally don't like the screenplay, and also the soundtracks are not the way I like. So "Happy feet" did't make me happy.

Though this is the second PC in my life, I felt the same excitement and pleasure in buying this. This was because; I bought the world's third processor and the world's first economy processor I can say. And one more thing is I put my hands in making the PC. I was thinking of putting its spec in blog for a month ago.. So now I am proudly introducing my PC here!!

I bought this PC in Bangalore SP road, the electronic market of Southindia I can say.. The plan to get the correct things was devised for just 6 months I believe.. This genius kid named Akshay is the one who did the assembling of my PC. Nothing more to say.. So this thing is helping to waste my time easily by gaming (trying all the latest games), watching movies; listening music (50 movies and 6000 songs in Hard drive.. still growing), blogging (u know this very well)..

Is Vista Ultimate, The Ultimate?

Windows Vista has been released for a month now to business, and is going to be released to the general public in a month (January 30). For those who haven't been following Vista's development, it is worth noting that even though Vista comes 5 years after XP, it is a rushed product. Originally set to be a relatively small update to XP, to be released in 2003, it was re-envisioned as a major release, with revolutionary technologies such as WinFS (a new file system), Palladium (security system), Avalon (graphics system) and Indigo (communications system). We don't see such a big breakthrough as it happened from Windows to XP in this XP to Vista.
It doesn't really matter if Vista is a success or not, Microsoft cannot wait another five years to release another Windows. And that is why Microsoft is planning a "Vista R2", codename 'Fiji'. From what little information is available we know that this will be a minor release sometime in 2008. Want to see the features of this damn thing?

Windows Fiji

• The UI will be updated with things that were originally promised for Vista, along with a more powerful sidebar, which will be more than just a dock for widgets (a.k.a. gadgets)
  
• .Net Framework will be updated to 3.5 (or maybe even 4)
  
• WinFS will be applied over NTFS to give us Virtual Folders (or maybe just Saved Searches)
• All bundled application will be updated to newer versions
  
• Tighter integration with Windows Live. Probably through 'Codename Nemo', a media center application that is integrated with Messenger, Spaces, and probably lots of other Windows Live Services.
  
• We might see Monaco, a music authoring tool, similar to Apple's Garageband.
  
• Default playback of HD-DVD (maybe even Blu-ray), Vista currently identifies these disks but cannot play them without an external decoder.
  
• A more advanced Speech Recognition
  
• NGSCB will be implemented to make the system more secure.
  
• New themes, icons, wallpapers, games, and minor tweaks to almost everything.
  

Although Fiji doesn't sound too exciting yet, new features are bound to be added. Still, it might just be a way to keep us quiet while they work on Vienna.
Windows Vienna (formerly Blackcomb) will be a huge departure from current incarnations of Windows, Similar to the transition from OS8-9 to OSX. It will break compatibility with all applications, but the newer, more flexible, richer and secure platform will be incentive enough for applications to be re-written for Vienna.

Windows Vienna

• The current interface will be completely stripped, no more explorer shells, and taskbars. No start menu. Probably no toolbars, or menus (which already started with Vista)..
  
• Speech Recognition will become a major input device (though it will not replace the keyboard and mouse) and will be supported by most third party applications.
  
• Many projects from Microsoft's R&D will come into play, especially from their VIBE research center. A pie-menu is rumored to be used.
  
• A new version of NTFS wrapped in a more powerful WinFS. No more drives, or files/folders location to worry about. File Management will be done through applications, which will automatically index and sort the files they support.
  
• Even bundled applications will evolve a lot (jus compare WMP6 with WMP11).
  
• Search will part a huge part in Vienna (like it does in the control panel of Vienna)
  
• Applications with non-managed code will run in a sandbox mode (like IE7 does in Vista), so that security exploits in a single application doesn't affect the entire OS.
  

Facts are hard to come by about Windows Vienna but it has 15 years of R&D to borrow from, and one thing is for certain, Vienna won't be just an operating system, but a new generation in computing. So don't get amazed on Vista!!

Idiocracy - Only for Idiots

The only good thing in this is the dvd rip with good image resolution and mp3 sound by Diamond. I can say I wasted my 86 minutes in this. Don't know how it got 6.7 rating in IMDB. I don't see good comedy everywhere, though it has some. The story and direction, everything reminds me of classic cartoons. An Army librarian, is judged to be absolutely average in every regard, has no relatives, and has no future, so he is chosen to be one of the two test subjects in a top-secret hibernation program. He and Rita(heroine) were to awaken in one years, but things go wrong and they wake up instead in 2505. By this time, stupid people have outbreed intelligent people; the world is run by morons - and Joe and Rita are the smartest people there. There is nothing adventures and no Science Fiction but sometimes good humor. I would suggest this movie to watch in TV.. no, that's too far, better let it be the alternative movie during tv advertisements.

Flushed Away - Plunge into it

I love to see all animation movies. I have been desperately waiting for the final rip version of "Open Season". But for my surprise I didn't expect this- the best version of Flushed Away from DreamWorks and the director of Wallace & Gromit. You won't believe this as a screener, yes this one is just like the dvd rip. iMBT has done a very nice job. And as DreamWorks usually does, popular actors like Hugh Jackman and Kate Winslet are behind the voices of the characters.

I don't want to tell the plot, because it is not very different. But as the animation films do this will surely entertains you a lot. Seems this is the first time, they have used the stop motion characters with CGI. There are many chances in this film for you to laugh louder. Also the OST seems good and the humorous character of the singing worms adds more fun. I would suggest you to see this movie at least once.

New Year Eve in Bangalore

I am not one among the guys who used to do their Roll Call in Brigade Road, MG Road and Forum every weekend:- touching only entrance of all the pubs in the way; having only 200 bucks in hand; ready to spend 300 bucks from the 75,000 limit Credit Gold card; blaming friends for not taking their purse for treat, when passing through all kind of beverage shops etc.. But I did the same kinda stuff roaming Brigade road on the New Year Evening. Seems the terrorists haven't marked this New Year in their calendar!! Happy about that, because we were able to tell our parents that we were celebrating New Year outside our house. I managed to get at least a dustbin corner to park my bike. All the traffic police seemed really busy in doing traffic control work, because my TN regd bike escaped easily from them. This is the brigade road around 8pm full of decoration lights was good though the local kannada fm was torturing our ears.

These three + the one which the camera could not capture as he was the photographer, are my friends. New Year Party had begun.. We got one big cake quite enough for four of us and left Brigade thinking of TV Channels.

In home we sang "Happy New Year to us" song cutting the cake, around 00:15 i think, because we were watching the mesmerizing AR Rehman & Nelly Furtado Concert in Star plus at 00:00:000. It was really nice to see Rehman introducing the 'Pray for me brother' song, following Kalbali, Eshk Bina, Tere Bina and Humma with the intro of Blaze. Even Nelly did the best with Josh at last. Singing Maneater, am like a bird and another song from her only infamous album Folklore followed by Promiscus girl feat Josh and the famous Powerless at last. I have been searching the net in vein till now to get the Powerless feat josh good quality audio. That was the end of my New Year celebration.

Welcome to 2007

So.. Another great year has come to an end. I hope 2006 was a good year for you, as it definitely was a good year for me. Yeah, I became a Conroe Owner getting the Intel Core 2 PC, started doing this (blogging), got unlimited internet connection, got some new friends, saw hell lot of movies, played some really good games and things like that and more over was never experienced any problems..
Hopefully this 2007 will give us more fun and happy in our life. So I am wishing you good and prosperous 2007 wanting the same from u.
